LAUREN BARBIERI
Lauren is a 2001 PHS graduate. A Track & Field and Cross Country standout, Lauren was named the Track & Field MVP all 4 years at PHS. She won multiple league titles, competed in the North Coast Section championship meet in the 800m, high jump, triple jump, 300m hurdles, 4x100 relay, and 4x400 relay. In her senior season she competed in the California State Championship meet in the 300m hurdles. Lauren broke PHS records in the Triple Jump, 4x400 relay and 100m hurdles. During her senior year she was also PHS Student Body President. After PHS Lauren competed in both Cross Country (2 years) and Track & Field (4 years) at UC Berkeley where she recorded an All Time Top 10 time in 3000m Steeplechase and was named Academic All-Pac 10.
After graduating from UC Berkeley, Lauren earned her MBA from UCLA business school, and has had a long career as recycling and waste consultant. She still loves running marathons and triathlons, and spending time being active outdoors with her husband, Mike, and children, Rian and Walter. She and her family now live in Truckee.
